Kevin Healey has been nominated for Excellence in Diversity Awards 2018
ONE of the UK’s most anticipated diversity awards celebrations has opened its nominations for the 2018 ceremony.
Kevin Healey has been nominated for the Lifetime Achiever
A host of diversity leaders will gather to honour British Diversity at the ceremony, celebrating the phenomenal achie vements of those who have demonstrated their outstanding devotion to diversity, equality and inclusion.
Designed to highlight employers tackling issues internally and externally, Britain’s diverse talent will be showcased in a celebration of equality champions.
The awards have led the way in commending the exceptional contribution to the workplace made by inclusive companies and pioneering employees.
With the increasing richness of diversity in Britain, the Excellence in Diversity Awards recognise employers that unite workforces and challenge discrimination, applauding those for their fight against inequality.
Supported by the likes of Bloomberg, PwC and Mott MacDonald, the ceremony has background in recognising true inclusion across charity, public, private, education and housing sectors.
The Excellence in Diversity Awards has opened its nominations in conjunction with the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. The List will be unveiled at the ceremony later on in the year.
Paul Sesay, CEO of the Excellence in Diversity Awards said, “In difficult and challenging times, using the talent of a diverse workforce is more important than ever. Considering the diversity of your workforce and fostering an inclusive working environment can bring business benefits and provide a market advantage.”
Sesay continues, “ This tough climate has led us to take a fresh look at how we can promote employers that lead in their business case for diversity. We are thrilled to showcase those that celebrate diversity throughout the whole ethos of their corporation”.
The event is definitely one to mark down on your calendar and provides recognition for excellence regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, faith, religion and culture.
Mark Shrimpton, Equality Advisor for Disability Rights UK and Disability Me mber of the First-tier Tribunal at UK Ministry of Justice, said “In a fractured society, during troubled times and with austerity biting us from behind, the need for diverse practice becomes ever more important. The law defines a hostof so called protected characteristics. But, ultimately, inclusion affects us all. By excluding people because of their identity or background we lose skills. Wel ose talent. And we lose productivity and profit”.
He continued “Significant numbers of firms are practising inclusion as a r outine event and are reaping the rewards. They are leaders in their field – not the diversity pitch, but the business stadia in which they play, and win. They aren’t just ticking a CSR box or following a moral code, important as they may be.
They are capturing the diverse talents of the wonderful population of Great Britain and becoming more competitive as a result. The EiDA’s are a supreme
opportunity to celebrate and market this work. I urge you nominate your EiDA champions and promote your excellence.”
You can nominate for a Diversity Champion, Diversity Marketing Campaign, Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Best Diversity Resource, Outstanding Diversity
Network, Employee of the Year and Lifetime Achiever. Nominations will coincide with submissions for The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List.
